A Bit of Introduction

I've started blogs before. Never kept them.

There's always a reason to stop - too busy, nothing interesting to say, or just the quiet fear that nobody cares. Maybe all three at once.

But here I am again.

This time feels different, not because I suddenly have more time or more interesting things to say. It's more that I've realized I actually need a place to put things down. Not for anyone in particular. Just for me.

I'm Farizal. I work on software, spend too much time reading about things I probably don't need to know, and have a long list of projects I want to build someday. I'm based in Jakarta, Indonesia - which means I spend a decent amount of time in traffic, which is honestly where a lot of my best thinking happens.

So what is this site?

Farizal Notes is exactly what it sounds like. Notes. Some will be about tech and development. Some about ideas I can't shake. Some about whatever I'm learning or building at the moment. A few will probably be half-formed and messy.

I'm not trying to be an expert here. I'm not trying to grow an audience or build a brand. I just want a place to think out loud - and maybe, somewhere down the line, look back and see how my thinking has changed.

That's it.

If you're reading this - hi. I hope something here is worth your time.
